Step 1 – Open Outlook App.
Step 2 – Click on Add Account option.
Step 3 – To setup Bigpond on Outlook, go to the next screen and enter your registered Bigpond Email Address, then click on Advanced settings option.
Step 4 – Now, check the box to setup account manually and click on Connect Tab.
Step 5 – Now, you can select the account type as IMAP.
Step 6 – If you need to see the mail settings, you can choose POP and IMAP Accounts settings and verify.
Step 7 – Now, enter your incoming and outgoing server settings and select Next.
Step 8 – Enter password and then click on the Connect option.
Other Instructions –
For Account Type IMAP, choose the incoming server details as –
• Incoming server address: imap.telstra.com
• Incoming server port: 993
• Encrypted connection: SSL
And the outgoing server details as –
• Outgoing server address: smtp.telstra.com
• Outgoing server port: 465 (recommended) or 587
• SMTP authentication: On
• Encrypted connection: SSL/TLS on port 465 (recommended) or STARTTLS on port 587
